The Banchory and District Round Table crowned off its year with a flurry of donations to local good causes. At the Annual General Meeting, the Round Table presented cheques to a number of organisations in the final surge before the end of the Round Table year. In all, six groups were present to accept their funds, all appreciating the support. The recipients included Louise Paterson representing Banchory Beavers (£500), Lynn Service, representing Banchory Primary School (£600), Margaret Gauld representing the Red Cross (£500) and Councillor Karen Clark and Anne Verney representing the BDI bags campaign (£500). The younger members of the community were also showing their appreciation with Katrina Murray, Alisa Heggie, Ella and Carla Rough, Abbie Mason and Hannah Griffiths from the Banchory Rainbows and Brownies- District Commissioner Tracey Lethaby and Assistant District Commissioner Anne Rough were escorting the girls on behalf of the Banchory Guides receiving the £500 support to buy new computing equipment. Finally, Strachan School were represented by Findlay Randalls, Euan McFarlane, Timothy Groves, Rachel Groves and Elsa Strachan, all pleased with the new cooker which the Round Table has funded.
